About Us
Civic pride. Love of nature. Young leadership.
Our Beautiful Barnegat is the founding chapter of Our Beautiful America, started by Barnegat High School students who refused to wait for a seat at the table.
The Spark Behind OBA
Built for people who were told to wait
I grew up loving my community, wanting a hand in shaping it. But when I looked for a seat at the table, my age was the reason I was told to wait.
So instead of waiting, I decided to build a table of my own.
Inspired by visionaries
Henry Ford, Walt Disney, and Howard Hughes: American builders who turned bold ideas into lasting institutions. Big dreams just need someone willing to start.
Started at Barnegat High School
Built by students, open to the whole community
OBB started with students at Barnegat High School, young people who wanted to do more than watch their town change around them. It's open to anyone ages 13–18, and parents and older adults are welcome to join too.
The goal isn't just cleanup events and debate nights. It's teaching real, transferable skills: community service, volunteer work, neighbor and community building, real connections, and leadership, while supporting the local businesses and community that make Barnegat what it is.
Ages 13–18, plus parents and young adults.
